Eventure Together – Capstone Project (Fall 2025 & Spring 2026)

A Social Networking Android App

The Project

Eventure Together allows users to connect with others and facilitate the discovery of events and groups. This solution aims to address the loneliness epidemic facing young adults and encourage participation in social activities. We anticipate that the main user base for this application will include young adults, groups looking to increase membership, and event organizers.

Over the course of approximately 8 months, we showcased a fully functional android app.

Overview

System Architecture

The frontend uses Flutter, allowing deployment on multiple platforms. The use of external Google APIs allows us to sync RSVPs to a user’s existing calendar and allows us to display events on a map. Implicit and explicit feedback is collected and used to assist in recommendation generation on the backend of the project, where events and users are stored. Supabase is used for the database, allowing us to use a fully online database that can be accessed my multiple users concurrently. Users are able to chat with other users and groups set up within Supabase.
